Celebrating Pride Month and the power of authentic self-expression

Pride, a deep sense of pleasure in one's achievement!

Is it an achievement to truly be who you are or is it a right? The pride month and celebration of the true sense of one's self. We have come a long way as humanity in embracing each other. We also do have a long way to go to fully embrace the sense of inclusiveness. I look forward to the day that one is not defined by their sexual orientation. When it's just a natural identity and accepted as such.

we are meant to love, we live to love, thus love always win.

While we celebrate Pride Month, I wonder what comes to mind when you hear the term LGBT? Any judgement, shame, rejection, humiliation, loss, gratitude, joy, liberation...

Owning who you are is the first step to really achieving your greatness. Accepting who you are and hence accepting of others is the gateway to Love. I believe that's the reason why we are created and are here, is to live and demonstrate the true meaning of love.

Whenever we judge or discriminate against anyone, it's a reflection of what's going on inside us. It is a demonstration of the lack of self-love. We try to deflect by dehumanising the other person but what goes unnoticed is we dehumanise ourselves. When we let hate and judgment win, lose the best of us and pulls us back away from our own happiness.

But because we are meant to love, we live to love, thus love always win.

When we love and learn to accept, we live in harmony. Our workplaces are better with diversity, our community are more progressive with multiple colours, our politics are more liberating with variety. The world is a better place when we embrace diversity.

Liberate your thoughts, liberate yourself, liberate your family, community and the world by simply demonstrating love.

For businesses, research has shown that diversity and inclusion increase creativity, innovation and productivity and most importantly strengthen relationships.

For religious people, show what God has taught us. God's apostle John has said that God is Love, and it is written that Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hope, always perseveres.

Love as the holy book taught you, God is love and a God of all not for just the few. Religion is a conversation of another day......
